About the Item

A grand yet grounded piece, this antique Empire commode dates back to the early 19th century. Crafted in rich walnut with glowing depth, the piece reflects the stylistic ideals of the Empire period — formality, symmetry, and classical grandeur. Made by a French Cabinetmaker during the 19th Century. The façade is defined by three spacious drawers, each adorned with gilt bronze handles. The top in dark marble with delicate white veining adds both visual weight and refinement — a hallmark of furniture from this era. Ideal for styling with candlesticks, books, or ceramics. This sculptural storage piece will fit into many interior styles. A Modern, Scandinavian, Classic or an Art Deco home decor.
