Fabulous French Regence style faux tortoise-shell painted commode. Attributed to Jensen,
early 20th century.
The beautifully hand painted faux red tortoise shell top is engraved with parcel gilt banding, over a set of four long drawers, each drawer carved with many facets and mounted with gilt bronze mounts, resting on four legs Rocaille-cast sabots.
