French Louis XVI style 6-drawer black lacquered Chiffonier in cherry wood
About the Item
This chiffonnier or 6-drawer chest belongs to our Melaine collection that proposes handcraft modernized reinterpretated pieces of furniture from the French Directoire style at the end of the 18th century. This period was remarkable with its straight, classical and timeless lines ornamented with grooves, diamonds or rings on fronts.
The finish we propose here is a home-made cherry stain, called "cherry D" with a black lacquer on the drawers' fronts. A natural transparent varnish is appied on the diamond and grooves.
You can customize your furniture with an other finish of your choice.
All drawers have dovetails mounted fronts and are made of wild cherry wood.
useful drawers' dimensions are 46 cm / 18.1'' for the width, 14 cm / 5.5'' for the height and 20 cm / 7.9'' for the depth.

MON PETIT MEUBLE FRANCAIS is a new brand launched in September 2018 by Eric Weiler (founder) and Eric Gizard (designer). We deliver 100% made in France high-end and top quality furniture pieces. Main material is wood, mainly ash, oak and cherry. Our wood comes exclusively from sustainably managed French forests. The craft-handed manufacture in the Loire Countryside and Bretagne ensures robustness and a very long life cycle for each piece. All our models are already fully assembled in our workshops. Eric Gizard is a famous French Designer in Paris and works several Fashion and Luxury Brands. He sublimates with his very fluid and elegant design each piece of our collections EGEE and KUBE. More over and previous to the launch of MON PETIT MEUBLE FRANCAIS, in 2010, Eric Weiler took over an old cabinet-maker named GONTIER established in France since 1920. French Traditional pieces and new designed models from GONTIER are also proposed on 1st Dibs.
