Inlaid Teak Chest of Drawers

About the Item

A charming 3-drawer chest, handcrafted in India out of aged teak wood and cruelty-free, responsibly sourced buffalo bone inlay. Inlay is ancient decorative technique that involves embedding delicate, hand-carved pieces of bone (initially it was ivory) into the surface of an object. The result makes for a striking pattern, floral or geometric, of contrasting colors and materials that make these pieces truly unique. Handcrafted from start to finish by artisans with techniques passed down through generations, no two pieces of inlaid furniture are exactly the same. This chest was crafted in 2024, and has never been used. Pristine condition, impeccable finish. Three drawers with 2 wooden pulls each, and 4 stretchers at the bottom. This chest can also be used as a console or living-room cabinet. At 36 inches wide, 36 inches high, 18 inches deep, it fits just right in smaller rooms, or where a small storage solution is needed, adding a touch of exotic distinction.
