Italian 18th Century Louis XV Period Apple, Walnut and Pear Wood Commode

About the Item

A stunning and extremely unique Italian 18th century Louis XV period apple, walnut and pear wood commode. The three drawer chest is raised by elegant supports leading to the scalloped shaped frieze. The front displays a stunning bombee design with each drawer displaying superb and most decorative inlaid diamond shaped designs with Fine inlaid fillets and all their original iron foliate hardware and keyhole escutcheon. The sides and top display similar masterfully inlaid designs highlighting the cabinet makers' high skill set and warm wood grains.
