About the Item

This extraordinary Luigi XV chest of drawers, dating back to the mid-18th century, is crafted from solid walnut and stands out for its impressive shape and size. Adorned with intricate carvings featuring scroll and geometric motifs, the piece showcases decorations on the drawers, sides, and pilasters. The top, designed in a "becco di civetta" style, and the "cabriol" legs ending in inverted cones, are indicative of its era and provenance. The original handles and locks are intact, while the interiors and linings are made of poplar. The chest of drawers is in very good condition, reflecting its quality and historical value.
