Italian Pair of 19th C. Marble-Top Side Chests w/Marquetry Inlay Banding
About the Item
An Italian pair of petite wooden side chests, with marble tops and marquetry banding inlay, from the 19th century. This antique pair of side chests from Italy each feature a marble top, which rests over a wooden case which houses three drawers, and are presented on four squared legs which gently taper towards their feet. Beautiful marquetry banding inlays, in a diamond motif pattern, adorn the perimeters of each drawer front, and each side of chest. The marble tops are peach with cream veining. These 19th century Italian marble top comodini would work fabulously as a pair of end tables flanking a seating arrangement, or perhaps as a pair of nightstands in a bedroom
