About the Item

This is an old Japanese-made drawer. It is made of cedar wood, and on the bottom of the drawer there is a mark with the date "Meiji 38 (1905)" written in ink from that time. After long-term use, the black lacquer has taken on an artistic look. The peeling paint, which cannot be expressed on a new item, is also one of the elements that make up the whole piece. The scratched look is also a natural expression of art that has been created over many years of use. It goes well with small flower vases and other decorations. This item adds the beauty of wabi-sabi to simple, modern interiors, and is an element that creates beautiful empty space. Weight: 11.3 kg
