This vintage small chest of drawers was crafted in the Taisho Era (1912–1926) from Japanese cedar wood, with drawer fronts in chestnut.
This compact three-drawer chest is crafted from Japanese cedar (sugi), with drawer fronts in chestnut (kuri). The chestnut has matured to a beautiful, dry tone that pairs well with the simple casework. The design is calm and well-balanced—three straight drawers in a clean frame—with understated cup pulls whose aged surface adds a quiet wabi-sabi presence. Sized for daily practicality, it sits neatly on a desk, sideboard, or shelf to organize stationery, tools, or small textiles.
