About the Item

This is an old small drawer storage made in Japan. It was made between the Meiji and Taisho periods (1860s-1920s) and is made of cedar wood. The handles are made of iron, giving it a robust and rustic appearance. The overall design is extremely simple and lean, evoking a traditional Japanese aesthetic. The taste of the furniture, which conveys the fact that it has been carefully handled and repaired over the years, creates a unique presence. All drawers open and close smoothly and are very practical. They have also been carefully cleaned, so you can use them immediately without worry. Due to its compact size, it can be recommended as a nightstand and fits naturally into contemporary interiors. The spirit of “wabi sabi,” which has been passed down through the ages, will add quiet depth to your space. Weight: 6 kg ____________________________________ Our Philosophy Objects always tell the truth. All I can do is just to face with them sincerely and give them deep affection as much as I can. There is no boundary of nationalities and of eras in beauty. But I think now is the time we choose 'Japanese style' and it will be the best way to remind us of what we are losing today and to question us about an essence of beauty again. I hope that you can touch the memories which the objects here have, feel and think of something invisible but exists undoubtedly.
