About the Item
The black painted finish is striking in this oak chest of three drawers resting on curved cabriole front feet.
The newly applied black painted finish is distressed throughout, revealing natural wood below while complimenting the age and serpentine curves of this chest that dates back to the late 1700's.
Each drawer had two brass pulls making them easy to open and use. Drawer bottoms and sides were constructed in pine, typical of the craftsmanship of this era. The drawer bottoms each show age-related separation of planks.
Restored and ready for use. Built in two sections (see separation line in photos of sides).
All scratches, cracks (top and sides), dings, and age related separation (drawer bottoms and back) are reflective of age and do not detract from the beauty nor function of this black chest of drawers.
Please refer to professional photos for clear understanding of color, condition, and details; photo lighting, individual monitor display and home lighting all impact how item is viewed. Photos are part of item description, please ask questions or request additional photos of specific areas if needed.
