Louis XV Régence Painted Chest

About the Item

Louis XV regency period chest with original oxblood (sang de bœuf) paint and hoof feet ca.1720. Wonderful sides with proud flat panels decorated in same scheme. Wonderful color and decorative painted faux panels in gold with leaves and festoons, Period hardware (but not original) added slightly later in the 18th c. Fantastic feet mimicking ox hoofs.
