Louis XV-Style Commode or Chest of Drawers Kingwood and Marble Top, 19th Century
About the Item
Excellent quality commode with three drawers having beautiful bronze pulls
And a lovely bronze doré plaque inset into the top drawer depicting
Angels and a country motif. The center of the cabinet has excellent marquetry
Inlays of satinwood decorations of ribbons and flowers. Bronze mounts
Decorate each of the front upper corners and bronze sabots at the feet.
An urn and swirl design is centered at the bottom drawer.
Reeded marquetry designs run vertically on the front corners.
Lovely patterned designs on each side make this a desirable piece
On all side.
