About the Item
A pretty tulipwood parquetry with fruitwood floral marquetry inlay poudreuse .It’s original intended use no longer fashionable but popular by the bed , between chairs or windows as a small chest or table with ample storage .
Presents very well and finished in the surround ( it can float in middle of a room ) ..
The front with four drawers sans traverse ( with out break across the drawers ) of floral inlay .The top also sans traverse inlay across a central panel flanked by two panels with scalloped edges and each opening to a storage well . A central slide with leather inset .Each leg ending in a sabot adorned foot .
In antique condition, sturdy and functional .A warm rich color and patina with a good finish intact . Minor losses to veneer primarily around the edges .Some infill and coloring . The back has some veneer lift . Typical age surface and finish blemishes .
