A Louis XVI (Possibly Transitional LXV/LXVI) commode, French in origin and dating from the 1780s. The marble top a beautiful blend known as "Rouge Lanquedoc". The body composed of Kingwood, Tulipwood, and with fruitwood inlay with 3 graduating drawers, shaped apron and cabriole legs with gilt bronze mounts.
