About the Item

Period: Louis XV. Provenance: Paris. Measurements: 115x57x82h cm. Condition: excellent state of preservation. Description: the Louis XV chest of drawers under examination is a splendid example of refined 18th century Parisian cabinet-making. The surface, entirely panelled in bois de violet, has been applied in such a way as to create a particular geometric pattern. Moved pattern on the front and sides, embellished with beautiful and rich rocaille bronze ornamentation, finely chiselled, in their original mercury gilding. The Aleppo breccia marble with double moulding also fits perfectly and is original and intact. The stamping (stamp) is on the right upright, and is a Parisian work from the Louis XV period executed around 1760.We take care of and organize the transportation of the artwork, both for Italy and abroad, through professional and insured carriers.
