"Marango" nightstands by Alberto Smania for Smania Studio Interni

About the Item

Stunning pair of bedside tables from the prestigious Marango series designed by Alberto Smania for the namesake company Smania Studio Interni in the late 1960s. These pieces embody the high level of craftsmanship and Italian artisanal excellence of the time, with striking leather weave detailing on the corners, brass profiles, and Italian cane. Each table features two glass shelves with brass edging. They are in excellent condition despite being nearly 60 years old. Please note a minimal and almost imperceptible chip on one corner of the glass on both tables. Additionally, one of the two bedside tables shows some signs of age on a lower corner.
