A stunning pair of cabinets by William Doezema for his boutique Mastercraft Furniture, Grand Rapids, circa 1970. Expertly crafted mahogany case construction executed in a sophisticated oil-drop lacquer technique which creates a rich tortoiseshell effect. Exquisite case detail with striking door motif in solid brass. Each cabinet designed with a single drawer above an open compartment with an adjustable shelf. Elegant, dramatic and highly functional. Important pieces intended to anchor an important space. Excellent Restored Condition. The pieces have undergone a meticulous complete professional restoration. The finish displays fabulous depth and sheen. The brass has been professionally hand polished and demonstrates beautiful patina. The price noted is for the pair. Retains the Maker mark.
