About the Item

This elegant Mid-Century Modern cabinet was realized by the esteemed maker John Stuart Inc. in the United States, circa 1950. The piece offers a rectilinear body with a an rectangular form incised into the front of each cabinet door; an angular subtly cantilevered top and tapered cylindrical legs that adjoin the body of the piece with unique joints suggestive of the base of a femur bone- all finished in a stunning silver cerused oak that highlights the natural woodgrain in silver against a gray background. Each door slides open to reveal a variety of divided shelving within, offering myriad storage possibilities. With its beautiful finish and clean modernist lines, this piece is as versatile as it is aesthetically compelling, blending perfectly with any style of interior from Classic Mid-Century Modern to contemporary. It has been newly restored to mint condition. It bears the original label reading "John Stuart Inc" on the back as well as maker's marks. American, circa 1950 Dimensions: 51" W x 20.25 D x 42.25" H.
