About the Item
Rococo-style commode presenting as a classic example of French Provincial design, featuring elegant curves, ornate hardware, carved side panels with floral motifs, gilt embellished trim throughout, three drawers, scalloped frieze, serpentine front and raised on scalloped back feet and short cabriole front feet.
The chest with divided top drawer, 6" brass drop pull handles with fluted circular rosettes. Label from Union National Inc., Fine Furniture Jamestown, N.Y.
Dimensions: 37 1/4" W, 19 1/4" D and 34 3/8" H
Condition: Numerous tiny dings to the top surface along with some scratches, wear along the edges, spill/drip mark to bottom drawer and verdigris deposits on the gilt trim and hardware. The commode is solid with a wood back and easy operating drawers with a fine French style presentation.
