Pair of Antique Burr Elm Georgian Style Side Chests
About the Item
An exceptional pair of antique burr elm Georgian style side chests. They were made in England, they date from around the 1900-1910 period.
They are of extremely high quality, they are beautifully made and are very heavy for their size. The burr elm grain patterns and colour tones are gorgeous, there is fine inlaid banding around the drawer fronts and double herringbone banding around the top edges. They stand on bracket feet, the drawers have brass handles and fine, hand cut dovetailed joints.
They are a very useful size to be used as bedside chests or as side chests around the home.
We have had them revived and re-polished, the condition is excellent for their age.
