Pair of Antique Swedish Gustavian Style Chest of Drawers
About the Item
A pair of antique Swedish Gustavian style light-grey painted chest of three drawers, dating from the 19th century.
Each chest features a black painted rectangular top with canted corners in the front, sitting above a delicate meander décor molding running on three sides.
Front with three drawers with a subtle breakfront, flanked by canted posts with fluted details and carved relief diamond motif the top. Resting on tapered legs with flutings.
Sweden approximately 1840-1860.
Crafted in wood, later professional painted in a light white-gray color, typical of the Scandinavian taste for light palettes, with a lovely patina
