Pair of Italian 19th Century Louis XVI St. Kingwood and Sienna Marble Commodes
About the Item
An elegant pair of Italian 19th century Louis XVI st. kingwood, tulipwood and Sienna marble commodes. Each two drawer small scale chest/side table is raised by fine square tapered legs below inlaid fluted designs that extend up each side. At the center are the drawers, each masterfully inlaid with beautiful and most charming floral and foliate designs set on striking quarter veneered backgrounds. Each side also displays wonderful and intricately inlaid foliate designs. Above are the original Sienna marble tops with fine mottled borders.
