About the Item

A handsome pair of Italian late 18th century Venetian st. Walnut and patinated Bronze commodes. Each commode is raised on cabriole legs with a scalloped frieze. The two wide drawers have a lovely inlaid border and foliate designs throughout. Each drawer has a patinated bronze keyhole escutcheon flanked by scrolled pierced handles. Above are the lovely scalloped inlaid tops framed within a think Walnut band. All original patina and hardware throughout.
