About the Item

Matched pair of mid-century modern oak chests in clean style, heavy, and well constructed. Style is similar to Edward Wormley or Robsjohn Gibbings. Two equal depth large drawers with inset oblong drawer pulls. Carcass sits on an inset plinth base and has a deep beveled exterior frame. Newly restored in a rich open grain ebony finish in beautiful condition. Color is dark coffee brown to ebony and tends to appear slightly dark in the photos. These would make handsome oversized nightstands or a perfect pair of small dressers. France, 1950's
