About the Item

Rare and iconic piece of furniture designed by the famous Italian architect and designer Matteo Thun for Bieffeplast. Materials: grey painted metal Matteo Thun is an Italian architect and designer who famously co-founded and produced works under the Memphis Milano group. The group was headed by Ettore Sottsass who Thun met when he moved to Milan in the 1978. The pair later also co-founded Sottsass Associati producing more accessible and functional pieces for larger scale manufacturers. Thun designed ceramics, watches, lighting and furniture and developed a very distinctive and easily recognizable aesthetic, more subdued in colour pallet than other Memphis designers and more futuristic in form.
