Rare Pair Period 18th Century Paint Decorated Venetian Commodes Cabinets

About the Item

Findining these in the field is extremely difficult as a single commode, but finding a matched pair of period, 1700s era Venetian commodes is next to impossible. This is a fantastic pair of time-worn authentic 1750-1770s era paint decorated commodes with signs of age, including but not limited to age cracks, warpage of the top surfaces and a fantastic patina. These are just stunning, with their incredible painted scenes of roman figures and ancient columns and areans. The commodes measure 44.25 wide x 36.5 tall x 17.25 deep and dates to the 1750s-1770s era.
