Set of 2 Identical Biedermeier Chests of Drawers, Germany, 19th Century, Walnut

About the Item

These 2 Biedermeier chests of drawers were made in 19th century. They come from Germany. Veneered with beautiful walnut veneer. Each chest features three spacious drawers lockable with keys. Each one is set on four slender legs that add extra lightness to the form. They have undergone a careful renovation process in our workshop and are in excellent condition, both technically and visually. Surface finished with shellac polish, applied by hand with a pad to a high gloss finish with smoothed pores, which in addition to an excellent visual effect, protects and nourishes the wood. The natural coloring has been preserved, revealing the grain of the walnut wood in a beautiful way. The construction is rigid and stabile. The chests are in beautiful condition, fully functional, ready for everyday use. A beautiful set to enrich any antiques collection and add a touch of elegance to any interior.
