From Nîmes this opulently adorned two-drawer galbe front and openwork crosspiece commode crafted from walnut from Nimes, France, dating back to around 1730. Commode Sauteuses from Nimes are distinguished by their elongated legs and two drawers. Notably, not only is the front intricately shaped, but so are the sides are as well , making it an exceptional example of the artisans or the era and location.
