A Stately Antique English Painted Highboy c1790

About the Item

A large, beautiful and fine English country 18th century painted mahogany highboy. Displaying a stately row of knobs and graceful bracket feet that are a bit taller than average, giving a finer overall look. Chamfered and reeded corners and beautiful molding around the top. Oak lined drawers. This is a very beautiful piece of furniture. The molding around the top chamfers to match the reeded corners. Fine English dovetail construction. Imported from England. Perfect patina and coloring! The drawers drag a big from age, but very usable. The paint color is a whitish grey, with a worn surface. Condition of the piece: scratches, dents, marks, stains, rings, historical repairs and alterations, cracks, worn and missing paint, some newer paint, chipping paint Dimensions: Width: 43” Depth: 22” Height: 71” BA21-1221
