Deceiving vintage English highboy dresser on stand, constructed from antique parts in the last 40 years. Originating in Norwich, England, this phenomenal highboy has the absolute appearance of an authentic antique until you inspect it very closely. No it isn't a poorly made cheap reproduction, it is rather, a great quality antique replica of heirloom quality fine furniture that will easily survive the test of time. The exotic burled walnut case majestically holds 8 banded drawer-fronts with fine herringbone patterned marquetry highlights that glide as though they were riding on butter. A classic broke and pediment. canted corners and early Chippendale style ball and claw feet complete this handsome furnishing. We sold this breathtaking beauty well over 2o years ago, so any movement within the wood has already taken place. Smooth functioning hand-dovetailed drawers, correctly styled hardware and a breathtaking hand-rubbed finish, make this highboy an absolute winner for many years to come.
