A glamorous cream lacquered and mahogany veneered chest of drawers, with chinoiserie delicately scrolled top over a richly figured mahogany veneered top frieze drawer with 4 brick red bakelite pulls, over 3 shaped lacquered drawers each with 2 with red 'tortoiseshell' bakelite back plates and cast brass ring pulls, all on a carved and shaped mahogany base. The top drawer retains its original label stating that it was 'hand made in the workshops of the Charak Furniture Company in Boston, Mass.", numbered 6082 and dated 1935.
