French 3-Drawer Side-Chest Nicely Raised on Tapering Squared Legs

$4,200

About

A French raised side chest with drawers from the early 19th century. This antique side chest or end-table from France features nice clean lines, allowing the beautiful wood grain to speak for the simple elegance of this piece. The chest houses three small drawers, each adorn with a decorative escutcheon at it's center. Recessed panels make up each side and rear, so that this piece can be floated within a room. This chest is presented nicely upon four gently tapering squared legs. Please note that there is some slight warping to the top at the back left corner. This early 19th century French raised chest is the perfect piece where a smaller sized chest is needed, perhaps in a hallway, powder room, or used as a drinks table with storage next to your favorite reading chair.
