French Louis XV Gilt Bronze Mounted Black Lacquer Chinoiserie Commode

This beautiful 18th century commode has two drawers sans traverse and slender cabriole legs. It is mounted with gilt bronze foliate handles, escutcheons and sabots. The chinoiserie lacquer scenes depict figures in an exotic landscape with pavilions. The top is made of a Portor marble carved with a molded edge.
