Contemporary Brutalist Column Cupboard made of solid oak

Unique piece made to order. Customizable.
Founded by Denis Milovanov, SÓHA design studio conceives and produces furniture design and decorative objects in solid oak in an authentic style. Inspiration to create all these items comes from the Russian North aesthetics with its severe nature, log huts black from time and climate and scant patterns.
Wood is masterfully hand processed with chainsaw or chisel, whereby producing beautiful surface patterns. The wood is soaked in boiling baths of linseed oil, creating this special patina and making each creation a very unique piece. Reacting with tanning substances under high temperature, oil gives the objects expressive and natural colours, from light brown to charcoal-black.

Artist, designer and the founder of DENIS MILOVANOV and SÓHA brands, Denis Milovanov is a regular partaker of prestigious international exhibitions and fairs such as PAD Paris, Maison&Objets, Design Miami/Basel. Milovanov received the Product Design award at the Interni Design Awards in 2016. He collaborated with Zaha Hadid Architects in 2012 and Boris Vervoordt in 2015.
The designer was born on April 25, 1975, in Moscow. He studied woodworking at the 303 Higher Technical School in 1990-1993. In 2012 Milovanov established DENIS MILOVANOV workshop where he created design-art objects and the functional kitchen utensils series. In 2016 he established the SÓHA brand.
