Scottish George III Period Corner Cupboard


From the last quarter of the 18th century, a tall highly polished ornately inlaid oak with mahogany veneer; panel-doored corner cabinet. Fine ebony and satinwood line inlays, mahogany bandings, dentil crown moldings, and three small interior drawers. Decorative inlay plaques center each door panel. Gothic arch molding trim. Ivory escutcheons. From Scotland to Canada in the mid to late 19th century, and then to New York City.
