About the Item
Introducing the Floral Art Deco Credenza - Inspired by the Floral Motifs of Rajasthan Palaces
Stephanie Odegard presents the Floral Art Deco Credenza, a masterpiece art deco credenza that seamlessly blends artistry and functionality. This exquisite art deco credenza draws inspiration from the mesmerizing floral motifs found in the paintings adorning the grand palaces of Rajasthan. Handmade with meticulous attention to detail, this art deco credenza is crafted from solid teak wood, renowned for its durability and beauty.
The art deco credenza showcases a clean and elegant outline, achieved through expert joinery techniques employed by our master craftsmen. The focal point of this art deco credenza lies in the intricate floral forms, meticulously carved by hand, and then encased in a tight-fitting metal skin. The metal cladding options available include brass, white bronze, antiqued bronze, silver, and copper, allowing you to customize the piece to suit your style and aesthetic preferences.
Please note that silver and copper finishes will develop a natural patina over time, adding to the character and charm of the piece. To restore the original finish, regular non-abrasive household metal polishes can be used.
The Floral Art Deco Credenza in White Metal measures 80" x 18" x 31" (H), making it an ideal size for both spacious and compact interiors. Crafted with a combination of white metal, teak wood, and expert handwork, this credenza embodies elegance and sophistication. The polished semi-matte finish adds a touch of refinement to any room.
To ensure your complete satisfaction, we offer the opportunity to receive samples before confirming your order. This allows you to judge and experience the finish firsthand, ensuring it meets your expectations.
While we strive to ensure the longevity and stability of our products, please note that moisture in the air, sudden changes in temperature, and the natural movement of wood over time may cause the metal to wrinkle or bubble up. To mitigate these effects, we utilize well-seasoned, reclaimed teak and high-quality marine-grade MDF wherever possible. However, it is important to note that perfect stability of the metal cannot be guaranteed.
As a testament to the craftsmanship involved, our smooth finish metal-clad pieces may exhibit subtle tool marks, serving as proof that each creation is meticulously crafted by hand. While we strive for a clean and stable appearance, slight variations may occur, adding to the uniqueness of each piece. Alternatively, our hammered finishes offer a safer option if tool mark scratches are a concern. The hammered texture not only masks imperfections but also provides added resistance against potential bubbling or wrinkles caused by natural forces.
Embrace the captivating allure of the Floral Art Deco Credenza and elevate your living space with its timeless beauty and exceptional craftsmanship. Indulge in the richness of Rajasthan's artistic heritage with this extraordinary piece from Stephanie Odegard's collection.

Louise Credenza in Brass by Paul Mathieu for Stephanie Odegard
By Stephanie Odegard Collection
Located in New York, NY
The renowned designer Paul Mathieu chose the name “Louise” when he created his more feminine version of Louis XV (1730-1760) furniture. The characteristic cabriole leg, curving outward at the knee and inward towards the foot in an "S" shape was born during this period. It is during the same era that English furniture makers produced the Queen Anne and Chippendale styles.
The curved legs and side rails of this exceptionally elegant table are hand carved from solid pieces of teak. Pattern makers trace and cut complex forms that will cover the table from thick sheets of copper or silver. Once the table is joined together, it is meticulously encased in a tight-fitting skin of copper or purest silver. The silver used was assayed at 96% purity, which exceeds the minimum standard for sterling of 92.5%. Brass, White Bronze, Antiqued bronze, Silver and Copper are the available options for the metal skin. Both silver and copper will tarnish over time. Regular non-abrasive household metal polishes can be used to restore the original finish. Customization is our specialty. Please get in touch with us for any custom inquiries.
