Danish Walnut Credenza Style Console Stereo Cabinet with Original Speakers

About the Item

Not only does this Danish Modern style walnut cabinet look handsome AF, but the original speakers sound amazing. We pulled out the clunky old components and left the original 12" woofers, mid-range and tweeters. We extended the speaker wires so it's virtually effortless to connect to your receiver or amplifier. Now you can lift open the hinged-top of the cabinet to expose plenty of record storage, and a removable shelf that conceals a hidden compartment where the old tuner once lived. Get the authentic vintage look while having the convenience of being able to play an uninterrupted stream of music from your modern devices. Place that sexy chrome-faced Marantz on one end of the cabinet and your favorite turntable on the other. Mount your flat-screen above and enjoy the perfect balance of function and form. This console cabinet has some of the nicest cathedral grain walnut we've ever seen. Years of oxidation has given the once grey-green walnut a warm amber hue. Our team restored the top, installed an interior shelf and detailed the cabinet inside and out. The original grill cloth is in absolute superb condition and adds texture and distinction to the overall look of the piece.

Dorothy Draper style campaign credenza made by esteemed US furniture maker Thomasville circa 1970s. Old growth flaxen flared grain fruitwood (most likely pecan) from top to bottom are the hallmarks of the Embassy line. Black lacquer accents and brass pull hardware tie together British traditional and Eastern design. The door facades exhibit a diamond pattern wood inlay with contrasting color tones, presented tastefully to demonstrate a delicate ornate sensibility. Two large Interior cabinet spaces offer heaps of open storage with a single stationary shelf in each bay. No composite or MDF anywhere on this campaign credenza. Thomasville used a combination of solid hardwood interiors, solid fruitwood and veneers.
