This spectacular sideboard features ebonized walnut with Verre églomisé mirrored doors, splayed legs, elongated hourglass pulls, a reverse hand-painted floral motif, and tambour center slides. The center console offers a 17" high shelf, accommodating smaller items while leaving more than adequate space below to store larger ones. In the right compartment, behind the hand-painted mirror door, are four drawers, perfect for keeping everything from linens to bar accessories. In the left compartment, there are five are slatted spaces, ideal for wine bottles, or any number of other serving items. The sideboard was designed by Julius Rindle, the esteemed American Mid-Century Modern designer, circa 1950. It embodies the whimsical and idiosyncratic elegance of the Mid- Century Modernist sensibility at its best, combining elements from antiquity with clean lines, resulting in absolutely stunning design. Mint restored condition.
