About the Item

Mid-Century Modern credenza or Mid-Century Modern dresser is Inspired by the floral motifs used in the paintings of palaces of Rajasthan. This piece is one of the bestselling Mid-Century Modern credenza or Mid-Century Modern dresser of Stephanie Odegard's Mid-Century Modern collection which was designed by Paul Mathieu. This elegant Mid-Century Modern credenza or Mid-Century Modern dresser is handmade from solid teak which is joined to form the clean and elegant outline. Our master craftsmen carve the floral forms which is meticulously encased in a tight-fitting metal skin. The available options for metal cladding are brass, white bronze, antiqued bronze, silver and copper. Both silver and copper will tarnish over time. Regular non-abrasive household metal polishes can be used to restore the original finish. Mid-Century Modern Credenza in White Bronze, Mid-Century Modern Dresser by Paul Size: 80" (L) x 21" (B) x 30" (H) Materials: White Metal, Teak wood Techniques: Hand Hammered , Hand Carved, Polished, Semi Matt finished. Please note that moisture in air, sudden change in temperature and natural movement of wood over time causes the metal to wrinkle or bubble up. We use well seasoned, reclaimed teak and high quality marine grade MDF (wherever technically possible) to avoid and delay the above mentioned changes. However a perfect stability of metal cannot be guaranteed. Our hammered finishes are a much safer option if the tool mark scratches are unacceptable. The hammered finishes are also safer against eventual bubbling/wrinkles due to natural forces as mentioned above. Louis XV credenza dresser sideboard in white bronze was designed by the renowned designer Paul Mathieu. He created this credenza dresser sideboard which is a more feminine version of Louis XV (1730-1760) furniture. This credenza dresser features the characteristic cabriole leg, curving outward at the knee and inward towards the foot in an "S" shape which was born during this period. It is during the same era that English furniture makers produced the Queen Anne and Chippendale styles. The curved legs and side rails of this exceptionally elegant Louis XV credenza dresser sideboard are hand carved from solid pieces of teak. Pattern makers trace and cut complex forms that will cover the credenza dresser sideboard from thick sheets of copper or silver. Once the credenza dresser sideboard is joined together, it is meticulously encased in a tight-fitting skin of copper or purest silver. The silver used was assayed at 96% purity, which exceeds the minimum standard for sterling of 92.5%. Brass, White Bronze, Antiqued bronze, Silver and Copper are the available options for the metal skin. Both silver and copper will tarnish over time. Regular non-abrasive household metal polishes can be used to restore the original finish.
