Napoleon III Gilded Console Table with Marble Top, circa 1860-1870 An elegant Napoleon III style console table, crafted from carved and gilded wood, with rich relief decoration of garlands, medallions, and floral motifs. It rests on fluted legs of classical inspiration, joined by carved crossbars, which lend solidity and refinement to the design. The white veined marble top is original to the period and provides a harmonious contrast to the gilding of the piece.
