Stunning and decorative Art Deco Modernist credenza or sideboard. Design by J.A. Muntendam for L.O.V. Oosterbeek. Striking Dutch design from the 1920s. Solid oak with original solid macassar ebony knobs on drawer and door. In very good original condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina. Marked with original manufacturers white tag. We will ship this lovely piece of furniture in a custom made wooden crate for safe transport when purchased by overseas buyers! The Modernist look of this wonderful Art Deco credenza or sideboard by J.A. Muntendam for L.O.V. Oosterbeek is also known in the Netherlands under the name Haagse School. The Haagse School was inspired by the designs of the famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright. The famous Dutch Art Magazine Wendingen published a series of articles on Frank Lloyd Wright in 1925. Well known architects of the Haagse School are Hendrik Wouda, Jan Wils, Frits Spanjaard, Cor Alons and Jan Brunott.
