Rare sideboard of Torinese manufacture, of great quality

About the Item

This majestic Italian tall sideboard, made in Turin by the late Carlo Mollino of the 1950s, is a piece of furniture that holds many peculiarities and eccentricities. Made of solid wood, it sports five hinged doors that can be opened with graceful black-painted metal handles. But what makes it truly extraordinary is what you will find inside each door. Beyond the doors, hidden in the back, you will find enchanting Egyptian drawings on paper, carefully protected by a thin layer of protection. These drawings depict Egyptian papyri, perhaps a tribute to the prestigious Egyptian Museum in Turin. Their beauty is stunning, with details drawn with surprising meticulousness. Another striking feature is the exterior of each door, upholstered in burgundy velvet, lending a touch of luxury and sophistication to the cabinet. Inside each door, you will find shelves designed to organize and store your items with elegance. Above each door, the drawers blend seamlessly with the overall design, with their black metal handles blending harmoniously into the overall aesthetic. The credenza's legs, consistent with its style of manufacture, add an elegant and understated touch to this impressive piece of furniture. By bringing this sideboard into your home, you will not only acquire a significant piece of Italian history, but also a piece of furniture that exudes character, beauty and an aura of mystery with its Egyptian designs. It is a true treasure, a work that transports an important piece of Italian cultural heritage into your environment.
