About the Item

The sculptural sideboard model "Train" represents a unique masterpiece, the result of Alberto Tonni's craftsmanship and artistic vision in the 1980s. Made entirely of richly grained fine woods, this functional work of art is embellished with brass plate handles, which add a touch of elegance and sophistication. The structure of the sideboard is composed of three distinct elements that, when combined, form a visually striking corner piece of furniture. The first element is a linear section equipped with four doors, providing ample space for storing items and keeping the room tidy. The second element is a unique decorative part: a kind of angular cage made of thin brass rods, which gives lightness and dynamism to the whole composition. The third element is an additional storage cabinet with doors accessible from both sides, designed to provide functionality and versatility in daily use. Attention to detail and the harmonious combination of fine materials make the "Train" sideboard not only a piece of furniture, but a true sculpture capable of enhancing any living space with its distinctive presence. Alberto Tonni is an entrepreneur, collector and design enthusiast with a career spanning several decades. His passion for furniture and design emerged in the 1980s, when he began to focus on creating unique furniture and objets d'art, often handcrafted using salvaged materials and traditional craft techniques. Tonni is known for his ability to transform anonymous pieces into functional works of art, combining vintage aesthetics with a contemporary twist. In addition to furniture production, he has collaborated with various craftsmen and designers, contributing to interior design projects and participating in exhibitions and displays in the field. His attention to detail and dedication to quality craftsmanship have solidified his reputation as a talented designer in the Italian design scene. Design and fabrication of the sculptural sideboard model "Train" in rosewood and brass. Creation of the "Café" series in the 1990s, including small tables in burnished natural iron and brass, featuring organic and asymmetrical designs. Collaboration with artisans to create custom furniture, integrating vintage and contemporary design elements. Participation in interior design projects, contributing unique pieces that reflect his artistic vision and skill in the use of fine materials. Alberto Tonni's career continues to inspire design enthusiasts and collectors, thanks to his ability to combine functionality and aesthetics in timeless creations.
