A very early American open dish cupboard in original ochre painted surface , restoration free, recently acquired from a private collection in Vancouver..
Thus colour has oxidized very well to a yellow /olive patina …it is currently two piece , but possible at some point in its early life it may have been one . Really not a factor the piece is well proportioned and correct.
