19th Century Original British Dinning Room Set with 12 Chairs, Satin Wood

About the Item

Individual items are not for sale separately. A very popular supplier and manufacturer of furniture, Maple & Co. It is a perfect example of the English aristocracy and is still in great demand. The whole set is remarkable in that it has been kept intact this entire time, including the original 12 chairs at the table. The table has a rare unfolding system with two double action screw table expanders. One person alone can easily unfold the table by turning the handle. The system is patented by the company Joseph Fitter. The design of the whole set is handcrafted at a high level, filigree carvings and marquetry included. The cupboard and the book case have quality locks from Hobbs & Co. All of the aforementioned items have understated designs with slim legs that still manage to be sturdy, a testament to how well crafted they are. The wood in use is satinwood, which was extremely scarce in the 19th century. Everything is very well preserved and only slightly restored. The chairs have been newly upholstered in high quality leather and is faithful to the original upholstery pattern. Table dimensions: Height 75 cm / 29.53in Width 123 cm / 48.43in Depth 110 cm / 43.31in The table can be set to 4 different widths! - 123cm, 180.5cm, 238cm and 295,5 cm. (48.5in, 71in, 93.7in and 116.3in) The distance between the floor and the bottom table desk is 60 cm (23.6in). Chair dimensions: Height 94 cm / 37.01in Width 44 cm / 17.32in Depth 45 cm / 17.72in Seat height 47 cm / 18.5in Cupboard dimensions: Height 215 cm / 84.65in Width 183 cm / 72.05in Depth 66 cm / 25.98in The height of the lower part is 91.5 cm (36 in) Bookcase dimensions: Height 140 cm / 55.12in Width 70 cm / 27.56in Depth 38.5 cm / 15.16in More photos can be sent on request.
