De Coene frères Kortrijk Belgium Creator: Paul Vandenbulcke Very elegant and stylish high bar-cabinet in mahogany veneer on plywood. Details of brass on the top and bottom and a 2 splendid bronze plates on the door. De Coene was known for that kind of furniture: very elegant and high quality furniture. This cabinet has been created around 1948. Name: model Voltaire. It's one of their most beautiful and elegant creations of that period. Always special on the craftmensship of De Coene: on the back of every piece of furniture, you can find in pencil the name of the customer. This cabinet is in his original condition: still provided with the 2 original keys, some wear and scratches on the varhish and a restoration on the hinch of the drop leaf door.
