About the Item

An exceptional French Provincial Louis XV style carved walnut Panetiere and associated dough box, the arched top Panetiere mounted with turned spires over a spindled front and a relief carved bowed door, on cabriole legs to a dough box with a lifting serpentine top over an agrarian carved relief frieze, on turned tapered supports on cabriole legs joined by shaped stretchers. The Panetiere is designed to hang above the dough box or could be separated and used independently. The patina on these is truly beautiful and warm, as the walnut has aged to a stunning darker color. They would be just the right touch for your chic French keeping room, dining room or even as the centerpiece in your foyer or entry way. Wherever you would place them, they would make quite the chic French presentation.
