Antique French Carved Walnut Marble Top Bowfront Parlor Cabinet
About the Item
A French carved walnut marble top bowfront parlor cabinet, circa 1870, having a lovely inset white marble with double curved glass doors, flanked by curved glass sides. The plinth base above turned tapered legs with casters. The interior with two Demilune wood shelves. All the glass is original and handmade, the imperfections giving a lovely shimmering effect.
From a New Orleans, St Charles Ave mansion that a dear client purchases and is re-styling.
This stunning piece would add a chic French style to your entry way, dining room, living room, stairway landing or study. Wherever it is placed it is sure to enhance the space it is in.
From the bottom of the cabinet to the lower shelf, it's 10". From the lower shelf to the middle shelf is 7.5" and from that shelf to the top is 7.5". This is presently where the shelves are positioned. The shelves, however, are adjustable.

- Condition:Repaired: One small piece of linier curved molding on the top left facing side has been replaced (about 5" long). One tiny piece (about two inches) of molding has been replaced on the front left side. Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. The marble top has a minute crack to the top front corner and minor scratches requisite with age and use.
