About the Item

This Japanese vintage stacking glass cabinet was crafted in the Early Showa Period (1926–). Built in Japanese pine (matsu), it has a quiet, beautiful presence—light in tone, with a gentle, time-softened patina. The antique wavy glass to the sliding doors (with minor scratches typical of age) adds depth and a soft, nostalgic shimmer. Proportions are calm and well balanced, and the two-piece stacking construction makes transport and placement easy. Excellent for display-and-storage: show ceramics, tea ware, glassware, or small books while keeping everyday items neatly organized below. Fits naturally in living or dining spaces or a studio, adding a refined Japanese note without visual weight. There is a crack on the drawer front, but it does not affect use or structural integrity. This piece also pairs beautifully with its companion (A) when placed side by side. Rear anti-shift connector plates are included to join the upper and lower sections securely and prevent shifting. Cleaned and disinfected with a non-toxic solution. Doors and drawers move smoothly. As a vintage piece, minor scratches and marks may be present, each adding to its unique charm and the story it tells over time. It has been carefully inspected and remains in excellent vintage condition, with natural signs of age that enhance its character. Section heights: Upper H36.0" (91.4 cm); Lower H36.0" (91.4 cm).
